Worthing Borough Council Markets Decoy Farm Development Site

Worthing Borough Council has brought Decoy Farm, a major brownfield development site in Worthing, to market as part of plans to support economic growth, attract investment and create new employment opportunities.
The 7.7-hectare site, located alongside East Worthing Trading Estate, was previously used as a landfill and remained unused for decades. A £5 million government-funded remediation project has made the land safe and ready for development through clearance, levelling, material recovery and the installation of a clay cap over the former landfill.
The council, which owns the site, already has planning permission in place for a modern business park that could create hundreds of jobs. While the approved scheme remains an option, the authority has said it is also willing to consider alternative proposals that comply with planning policy or provide economic and community benefits. Commercial property agents have been appointed and the site has now been formally brought to market.
