Worthing Bus Rally Cancelled Due to Financial Concerns

The Worthing Bus Rally will not take place this year after organisers announced the event is no longer financially viable.

The annual event, held on the seafront on the last Sunday of July, has traditionally showcased modern and heritage buses, alongside free bus services and stalls. Organised in conjunction with Worthing Lions, the rally has been a popular fixture for transport enthusiasts and visitors alike.

Organisers said declining vehicle entries in recent years have led to falling visitor numbers and reduced funds. In a statement, they expressed “great regret” over the decision, adding that without sufficient entries, the event could not be run to previous standards.

The cancellation has prompted disappointment from supporters on social media, many sharing memories of the rally and describing it as a fun, family-friendly day out. Organisers thanked participants and visitors for their support and understanding.
