Worthing conference to address gambling-related mental health issues

A new mental health conference focusing on gambling-related harms will take place in Worthing this September, aiming to raise awareness and provide support pathways for those affected.

The event, titled Gambling Harms and Mental Health in the Community, will be held on Wednesday 17 September at The Rooms in the Guildbourne Centre, from 9.30am to 3pm. Organised by national charity Breakeven and Melanie Peters of Rocket Social Media, the conference will include NHS professionals, local authorities, public health representatives, and individuals with lived experience of gambling harm.

Attendees can expect keynote speeches, panel discussions on topics such as youth gambling and cultural stigma, and a buffet lunch to encourage informal networking. The conference is free to attend, and places can be booked online at Eventbrite.
