Worthing Food & Drink Festival social media pages hacked

Organisers of the Worthing Food & Drink Festival have confirmed that the event’s Facebook and Instagram pages have been hacked.

Members of the public are being urged not to post or send messages to the compromised accounts.

The Worthing Town Centre Business Improvement District (BID) issued the warning, advising people to disregard any posts that may appear on the affected social media pages. They confirmed the accounts are no longer under their control.

The BID reassured residents and festival-goers that their main social media pages remain secure. With the Food & Drink Festival approaching, all official updates and information will now be shared exclusively through the organisation’s verified main channels.

The Worthing Food & Drink Festival is an annual event showcasing local restaurants, producers and traders, drawing thousands of visitors to the town centre. Stalls, demonstrations and live entertainment form part of the weekend programme, which is designed to celebrate the town’s growing food culture.

Worthing Town Centre Business Improvement District (BID) is a not-for-profit organisation funded by local businesses to promote and enhance the town centre. It coordinates events, marketing campaigns and projects aimed at boosting footfall and supporting traders across Worthing.
