Worthing observation wheel closes for autumn as dismantling begins

Worthing’s popular observation wheel has closed for the season, with dismantling work taking place on the seafront.

The 44-metre-high wheel, run by City Observations, reopened in April and offered visitors views stretching up to ten miles. Positioned between Worthing Pier and the lido, it has been a regular seasonal attraction in recent years.

Earlier in the summer, the wheel temporarily closed following an electrical failure that left a person stuck, with West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service attending the incident.

City Observations has applied for permission to return the wheel annually from March to November until 2028.
