Worthing Pride 2025 draws thousands to seafront in celebration of trans lives

Worthing Pride returned for its seventh year over the weekend, drawing large crowds to the town’s seafront and Steyne Gardens for a celebration themed ‘Protecting Trans Lives’.

The two-day event featured performances from acts including N-Trance, Big Brovaz, Urban Cookie Collective, and Jo O’Meara of S Club fame on Friday, followed by a headline performance from Natasha Hamilton of Atomic Kitten on Saturday.

The free-to-enter parade took place along the promenade on Saturday, with participants encouraged to wear the colours of the trans flag – blue, white and pink – in solidarity with the trans and non-binary community. Organisers had earlier warned the event was at risk of cancellation due to a lack of sponsorship, but support from BA Euroflyer and contributions via a local GoFundMe campaign secured its future.

Organisers praised local businesses and supporters for ensuring the event went ahead, confirming that the funding would safeguard Pride in Worthing for the next two years. In a statement after the event, they thanked volunteers, sponsors and attendees, saying the 2025 celebration had once again demonstrated the town’s commitment to inclusivity and community spirit.
