Worthing residents angered as car park alarm sounds overnight

Residents living near a multi storey car park in Worthing were left frustrated after a fire alarm sounded continuously through the night. The alarm at the Buckingham Road car park reportedly began shortly after midnight and continued until around 9am, disturbing nearby homes and businesses.

Local resident Jessie Hubbard said attempts were made by several neighbours to contact council and emergency services after the alarm failed to stop. She said someone briefly attended the site during the night, but the alarm resumed soon after, prompting further calls and messages to authorities.

Fire crews were later seen at the car park after the alarm had been silenced. Worthing Borough Council has been contacted for comment.
