Worthing Residents Invited to Share Views on Council Communications

Worthing residents are being invited to share their opinions on how Adur & Worthing Councils communicate with the public, as part of a scrutiny meeting scheduled for Thursday, 27th February.
The meeting, organised by the Joint Overview and Scrutiny Committee (JOSC), will take place in the Gordon Room at Worthing Town Hall from 6:30pm. The session will examine the effectiveness of the councils’ communications and engagement efforts, with input from senior officials and the public.
The committee, which includes councillors from across Adur and Worthing, acts as an independent watchdog to hold decision-makers accountable. Assistant director for people and change, Noel Hatch, will present an overview of the communications and participation team’s work in 2024 and outline plans for 2025/26. The meeting will also discuss commemorative events and review the recent activities of the West Sussex Health & Adult Social Care Scrutiny Committee.
Residents are encouraged to submit questions by emailing democratic.services@adur-worthing.gov.uk before midday on Monday, 24th February. The meeting is open to the public, who can attend in person or listen to a recording online. The full agenda is available at Adur & Worthing Councils’ website.
