Worthing school praised by MP after 'outstanding' Ofsted report

Springfield Infant School and Nursery in Worthing has been praised by local MP Tom Rutland following its recent ‘outstanding’ rating in every category of its Ofsted inspection.

The MP for Shoreham and Worthing visited the Sackville Road school on 2 May to meet staff and pupils and mark the school’s achievement. During the visit, the junior governors led Mr Rutland on a tour and shared their experiences, including lessons, extracurricular activities, and community involvement.

Headteacher Becky Wycherley expressed pride in the recognition and said it was a chance to show the school’s commitment to high standards and inclusive education, especially for pupils with special educational needs. Mr Rutland commended the staff’s efforts and said the school’s success was clearly reflected in the enthusiasm of its pupils and the quality of the learning environment.
