Worthing sign Noor Husin following Southend United departure

Worthing have signed former Southend United midfielder Noor Husin following his departure from the National League club.
Husin, 29, joined Southend from Dartford in January 2022 and scored eight goals in 150 appearances for The Shrimpers. The former Crystal Palace and Reading prospect helped the club reach the National League promotion final in 2024-25, where they lost to Oldham. He made just six appearances this season before suffering a season-ending knee injury in September.
Worthing manager Adam Hinshelwood described Husin as a major signing for the newly promoted National League side. Hinshelwood said the midfielder was a leader on and off the pitch and added that his experience would be invaluable to the club.
Southend had released a documentary about Husin’s recovery earlier this year, with the player expecting to return between August and September 2026 after multiple operations.
