Worthing special needs college plans move into former travel clinic

Plans have been submitted to expand a Worthing school supporting pupils with special educational needs by moving into a former medical building in the town.

Cay College, a not for profit community interest company launched in 2024, has applied to Worthing Borough Council to change the use of the former Sussex Travel Clinic in Farncombe Road from medical services to a SEND school.

Currently based at Aztex House in Ivy Arch Road, the college supports young people who have been out of education for extended periods, and says the additional space could accommodate up to 15 students aged between ten and 14, along with six staff during weekday opening hours.
