Worthing to host new community support hub this month

Worthing will host a new multi-agency support hub later this month, offering residents access to food support and a range of advice services under one roof.

The event is part of a scheme run by West Sussex County Council and UKHarvest, following the success of a pilot hub in Haywards Heath earlier this year. The Worthing hub will take place on Thursday, 18 September, between 10am and 11am, bringing together organisations such as Citizens Advice, community energy support, early help teams, libraries and neighbourhood police.

In addition to surplus food distribution, the hub will provide guidance on health, wellbeing, housing and finance. The aim is to reduce food waste while supporting residents with the cost of living. Organisers say the hubs also act as welcoming spaces for people to connect with services directly.

The Worthing event will be held ahead of a similar hub in Bognor Regis on Wednesday, 5 November. Further details and a full list of upcoming UKHarvest Community Food Hubs are available on the West Sussex County Council website.
