Young Man Dies After Fatal A27 Motorcycle Collision Near Worthing

A 20-year-old man from Worthing has died following a serious collision involving a motorcycle on the A27 near Worthing on Tuesday evening.
Emergency services were called to Arundel Road at about 8.26pm after reports of the incident, and the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
Sussex Police said an investigation into the circumstances of the collision is ongoing and officers are appealing for witnesses. Investigators are particularly keen to hear from the driver of a dark blue BMW who may have seen the motorcycle before the collision. Anyone with information or relevant footage has been asked to contact police quoting Operation Column.
The A27 was closed in both directions between the A280 at Clapham and the A24 at Offington Corner while collision investigation work was carried out. Sussex Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service, West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service and an air ambulance attended the scene. The road remained closed overnight before reopening shortly before 8am on Wednesday.
